Shifting between spectacle and the commodified experience; the immersive to the banal, Splendour in the Grass feels like a highly controlled temporal 'city' that creates the illusion of anarchic freedom for it's inhabitants &/or target market.
I wonder what the role of art is in this context....
enhancing an experience?
shifting perceptions?
asking questions?
